Richter new President of ISAPS - the largest society of aesthetic surgeons worldwide
"The pinnacle of my career." Dr. Dirk Richter, Chief Physician of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Trinity Hospital in Wesseling, described the moment when the gavel was presented to him as President of the largest international society for plastic and aesthetic surgeons.
More than 3000 registered plastic surgeons from almost 100 countries of the world met for the largest world congress so far last week in South Beach Miami to learn the latest techniques and trends in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery and to exchange ideas with their international colleagues. Many German colleagues also traveled to attend the handover to the youngest and first German President of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, ISAPS. "A moving moment", said Richter, who will now be leading the fate of the almost 50-year-old society based in the USA.
One of the goals of his presidency is in particular the training of his younger colleagues and, for this purpose, the expansion of the digital possibilities so that the latest scientific findings are available at all times for everyone and everywhere in the world, explains Richter. An important contribution to patient safety.
